Campaign 2008

VIDEO CLIPS - Campaign 2008 Usability Testing - McCain vs. Obama

>> PART ONE (Click to view)

At the start of the interview session, our moderator asked: In thinking about an ideal web site that would help you learn more about the 2008 presidential candidates, what would you expect it to look like/expect to find on that type of site?

Followed by: How much influence do you feel the candidates' websites may have in helping voters decide who to vote for?

>> PART TWO (Click to view)

As the moderator introduced each Website we asked for initial impressions regarding visual design, readability and content. We rotated each site over the course of the day so that half of the participants viewed the Obama site first for around 20 minutes and half explored the McCain site first for about 20 minutes.

We then asked participants to learn more about the candidates backgrounds where they went to the About John McCain & Meet Barack Obama pages.

>> PART THREE (Click to view)

Here are some participant thoughts on the Issues Pages as they explored the content being provided.

>> PART FIVE (Click to view)

At the conclusion of each one-on-one interview we asked; Which Site is More User Friendly?

Followed by: Did spending time on these sites help change your status as an undecided voter and if so, who are you learning toward?
